Plug Plate Array
Astrophysicist Rich Kron, of the University of Chicago and Fermilab,
inserts optical fibers into a pre-drilled "plug-plate," part of the
Sloan Digital Sky Survey's unique spectrographic system for determining
the distances to stars, galaxies and quasars.
